Winter

The days grow shorter, darkness falls and the moon shines down on the icy spectacle. Pure white flakes silently fall to the frozen ground.

Ice covers the brown bark of the trees deep in their winter slumber. A layer of frost has covered each blade of grass.

The streams have frozen over, the rushing water has been silenced by the iciness of a winter’s kiss. It felt like everything had been silenced, time, stopped.

That’s why she loved winter so much. It never seemed to end, something most people hated about it. But the young girl loved how winter’s freeze seemed to stand still.
