1. When you remember how excited you were on November 1st.

2. When you remember how panicked you were on November 7th because you only had 2137 words written.

3. On Thanksgiving Day you eat with the family then go to your room to “nap.” In reality, you are trying to catch up your word count with a 10K word-binge.

4. By November 29th, you have bags under your eyes, and you are writing every spare moment to finish on time.

5. November 30th, 11:47 PM, you validate your word count.

6. You panic again, realizing you are 278 words short. You write again, you validate.

7. You pass 50K, and want to do a victory dance, but are too tired.

8. You walk around December 1st talking about swag and buttons and cover photos for Facebook.

9. You stop seeing word counts and reintroduce yourself to your family.

10. You reenter society because you are out of chocolate and coffee.
