Intro to CMB Engineering Blog
Hello and welcome to our tech blog at Coffee Meets Bagel! At CMB, we are passionate about technology, we are passionate about learning, and of course we’re passionate about helping people fall in love. The purpose of this blog will be to share interesting things that we’ve learned along the way about the technologies we’re using or the development processes that we’re utilizing.
Myself
For this inaugural post, I just want to introduce myself and the engineering team. My name is Karim and I’ve been building mobile apps in some form or another for the last 10 years. Before joining CMB, I built the Android app for Tinder and built up their Android program. Here at CMB, I’ve done the same and now manage the engineering team at large as our CTO.
The Team
We have an incredibly diverse and exceptionally smart engineering team from all parts of the world (China, India, Romania, Poland, and Korea to name a few countries). We actually have more engineers from outside the US than from inside the US!
Our engineering team is a tight-knit group of problem solvers, tinkerers, and hackers currently composed of the following:

- 5 Backend Engineers
- 2 Dev Ops Engineers
- 3 Android Engineers
- 3 iOS Engineers
- 2 Test Engineers
