I never thought that there would be a cozy, warm coffee shop with full of natural light like this. The only downside is that the tables are too small for your laptops. Or that might be the intention of the owner to disconnect you from the devices. Disconnect to connect.

As usual, let’s go through the topics of today

Human resource situation

Pain in the ass. Unstable. Need a leader with in-dept knowledge, not a just-long-time staff

A very big topic not for technical guys, but still we want to talk about it a little bit. Two things were mentioned:

  • People are unstable. You cannot expect everyone to stay until the last minute, but need to find a method to maintain the productivity of the entire team in general. Good document, neat workflow are some of them.
  • So commonly, leaders are staffs who have been staying in 5+, sometimes 10+ years at the same company. And apparently, they are usually promoted to be the leaders, “project managers”. If they don’t keep themselves up-to-date, then their limitation become the limitation of the whole team or company.

Start-up vs. SME

I’m gonna start with the quote from The lean startup LoL

Edited: lately I found an article that read through my mind

Tu has just quit his job this afternoon

So did I 2 years ago. We all quit our job at some point of our life. Listening to his sharing about the feeling, experience facing this kind of life-event reminds me of the day I decided to tell my manager to resign.

Believe me. You were a good staff if you have that kind of feeling.

Wrist watch and wish list

We share the hobby with wristwatches.

Don’t get me wrong. We haven’t reach the point to own these “affodable” luxury watches

Plot twist: in working time we often chit chat about watches, sharing the wish list. The conversation seems to be endless all the time.

My to-do list next year: Frederique Constant Timeline Moonphase in blue.

And Tu, he’s looking into Rolex GMT master II Batman.

What about spreading this coffee-talk model to the world?

Yeah. We are day dreamers. Not only the 2 tech guys of us, but including you, the readers.

We might feel lonely to write personal blogs. But what if we can find a soulmate talking about life, career, hobbies, meeting once or twice a week, then turning the talk materials into articles, like the one you’re reading? That would be cool and more exciting.

Me and Tu were thinking about building a platform that allows millions of people to do that.

Thanks for reading (H).
