You’re dying, what matters?

You’re dying.

Right now, because of some unforeseen event you have literally minutes to live.

You don’t want to die — you’re trying with all your might not to — but you are struggling to survive.

What is it you’re trying to survive for?

Why is it you’re still pushing?

As emotionally debilitating as it might be to think about, put yourself in that place.

When things are hard, and the stresses of life are wearing on you; when you feel like giving up — or you’re about to snap — imagine that you’re dying.

Imagine that you will be gone, very soon.

Imagine the moment that materials won’t matter anymore, and the emotional connections that you’ve created are all that you can take with you.

  • Who do you fear to lose?
  • What do you fear to not have accomplished?
  • Where do you fear not having gone?

It might hurt to realize, but you are dying every moment you aren’t focused on the answers to those questions.

You are letting your life wither and die without meaning instead of pursuing what you’re passionate about, with the people you love, where you want to be.

Imagine you’re dying, and come back to life.
