What’s Worse Than a Ghost?
Looking for a Host!
Okay; I’ll be quick. I’m just going to voice a pet peeve I’ve been observing lately. I believe we are all aware of the proper due process in read, write and engage process on Medium.
- Write something and publish it.
- Go read other writers’ work.
- Follow, clap and engage with another writer whose work you just read.
- Next and most importantly, hope that writer comes to your page to read your writing and leave a comment, maybe even clap.
Step 4 is an important step for me in checking out the “bonafides” of anyone visiting my writing or choosing to follow me. To me, it’s similar to a remote verification step; just like completing a “due diligence” check.
So, if — this is the big “IF “— you as the Medium member, i.e. reader or writer, who read my work, maybe clapped and (or) requests to Follow; or, skipped the reading and just selected me to Follow, then you better have something published on your own Medium home-page where I can get a feel for you and your style.
Why? Because, I want to leave you a nice comment, to the effect:
Hi;
Dropped in to have a look at your work.
Took notice of you in regards to my work.
So, just a “heads-up” that though I may not finish reading…
