Okay; I’ll be quick. I’m just going to voice a pet peeve I’ve been observing lately. I believe we are all aware of the proper due process in read, write and engage process on Medium.

  1. Write something and publish it.
  2. Go read other writers’ work.
  3. Follow, clap and engage with another writer whose work you just read.
  4. Next and most importantly, hope that writer comes to your page to read your writing and leave a comment, maybe even clap.

Step 4 is an important step for me in checking out the “bonafides” of anyone visiting my writing or choosing to follow me. To me, it’s similar to a remote verification step; just like completing a “due diligence” check.

So, if — this is the big “IF “— you as the Medium member, i.e. reader or writer, who read my work, maybe clapped and (or) requests to Follow; or, skipped the reading and just selected me to Follow, then you better have something published on your own Medium home-page where I can get a feel for you and your style.

Why? Because, I want to leave you a nice comment, to the effect:

Hi;
Dropped in to have a look at your work.
Took notice of you in regards to my work.
So, just a “heads-up” that though I may not finish reading…
