It seems that everywhere you turn, there is talk about artificial intelligence (AI) and how it’s going to change the world for better or worse. Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk are currently in a public feud about whether AI is a doomsday scenario and “fundamental risk to the existence of human civilization”. In order to get a better idea of what exactly AI is, what it can and cannot do, and where it’s headed Cognilytica has come up with a list of our favorite podcasts on AI and machine learning.

1. AI Today

The AI today podcast focuses on relevant information about what’s going on today in the world of artificial intelligence. Hosts Kathleen Walch and Ron Schmelzer discuss pressing topics around artificial intelligence with easy to digest content, interview guests and experts on the subject, and cut through the hype and noise to identify what is really happening with adoption and implementation of AI. Podcast episodes are released on a regular basis.

2. This Week in Machine Learning & AI

The podcast discusses the most interesting and important developments about machine learning and AI in an informative and accessible podcast. Each episode features an interview with a ML/AI expert on a variety of topics. Recent episodes include a history lesson on deep learning, and interviews with experts at from conferences the host attended. This Week in Machine Learning & AI releases a new episode every other week.

3. Talking Machines

The Talking Machines podcast hosts focuses around conversations with experts in the field, insightful discussions of industry topics, and useful answers to your questions. This podcast is one of the older ones focused on AI having started in 2015 by Katherine Gorman and Ryan Adams. New episodes are released every two weeks on Thursdays.

4. O’Reilly Bots Podcast

Hosted by Chris Messina and Jon Bruner, The O’Reilly Bots Podcast covers advances in conversational user interfaces, artificial intelligence, and messaging that are revolutionizing the way we interact with software. Podcasts are not published as frequently as the other shows mentioned in this article, and we haven’t seen a post since May so we hope they start back up again this fall.
