Sexy look and feel is one requirement to love the products which you are using. Even though LibreOffice is a good alternative for Microsoft Office, I wasn’t satisfy with the default look and feel of LibreOffice. Here, I am sharing the tweaks I made to fall in deep relationship with LibreOffice. I have shared the original links to give the credential to original authors.

General Tweaks

Start from the splash screen

Visit to this site and follow their instructions to get attractive splash screens for LibreOffice.

Get Office 2013 Icons

Among the available icon packs, this is the most adorable theme which gives native look for those who miss Microsoft Office.

Tweaks for LibreOffice Writer

Default Font

Use Open Sans for default style and PT Serif for headings in LibreOffice Writer.

Tweaks for LibreOffice Calc

Default Font

Use Open Sans as the default font in LibreOffice Calc with a default font size 10.5 (or whatever you prefer).

Default Row Height

Adjust Row Height in Calc: Go to Format → Row → Height and set 0.25" as the default value.

Default Chart Colors

Go to Tools → Options → Charts → Default Colors and select the colors in your preferable order.

Here is my preference:

  • Data Series 1: Chart 12
  • Data Series 2: Gray 3
  • Data Series 3: Orange
  • Data Series 4: Yellow Green 4

These tweaks give a better look according to my opinion and please share your configurations based on your taste in the comment.
