Team EZ Mode creating storyboards and personas.

This week we finalized some important aspects of our soon-to-be developed app. We ended up committing to “EZ Life” as the app name since it more accurately describes the intentions of the app- to make life easier for the elderly. However, the new obstacle to overcome was figuring out the details. What exactly would the app entail? What types of modules would it feature in particular?

An example of a “Find Friends” module but with Grandpa (-:

When coming up with our app, we had been throwing out a multitude of ideas that would help the elderly population. Instead of focusing on one particular aspect (ex. targeting the app solely to transportation) we decided that a general app containing different modules would be the most helpful for our audience. The modules would consist of the following features: simplified interfaces for Uber/Lyft and Amazon, an emergency call button, reminders, easy exercises, a “Find Friends”, a “Find Restaurants”, and speaking buttons for those that have difficulty seeing.

Presenting our storyboards to the class.

Initially, we were unsure if having a variety of features would be too overwhelming and debated on tailoring in on a specific function. However, after completing our storyboards as a class assignment, it helped us realize that having these different modules would be most beneficial- not just for the elderly, but for people of all ages!
