The Cryptocurrency Portfolio Tracker
We started Coin Portfolio in march 2017 out of a private project. At that time there weren’t many tracking apps available and the few that existed were way to complicated to easily add your transactions and track what’s inside without searching for an existing trading pair. Especially when you’re trading on exchanges such as Poloniex or Bittrex. I personally traded a lot back and forth with some cryptocurrencies and lost at some point the overview of what i really have invested for the coins i own since i traded for example Bitcoin to Ethereum and Ethereum for Monero and so on. There are also the local wallets that are running locally on the machine. I thought, there must be a better solution instead of looking every day at Coinmarketcap and calculate the quantity * value in my mind.
Then our mission started to make tracking your cryptocurrencies in a single portfolio as easy as possible. And so far everything seems so complicated to me. Our key idea is to get rid of the trading pairs (e.g. BTC/ETH) since it makes everything much more complicated. Why can’t you just trade 1 BTC to 10 ETH? and yes, it’s working!
Since we don’t have trading pairs do we really need to pick an exchange to see the current price? No, not really! We can instead use the average price of all markets that are trading the cryptocurrency weighted by their volume and everyone should be happy. We know that we’re loosing a little bit precision for the sake of simplicity. We sacrificed 1 to 2% of precision to hopefully give everyone a good overview of their portfolio! Especially local wallet users who aren’t using exchanges!
Android & iOS Apps 📱
We first released our native Android App and got very quick very good feedback and had a feeling that we’re doing something right! Soon after we released our native iOS App and our user base grew even faster which is fantastic! Based on feedback from our users, we’ve refined the core features of Coin Portfolio and improved the overall process even more. If you have more feedback, please send us a message!

Synchronisation
If you’re using the same account on Android, iOS and Web then you’ll have the same overview and access to the same transactions and you’re also able to change them where ever you are. The changes will synchronise automatically to all of your active devices.
