Dear XY Shareholders, XYO Token HODL’ers and COIN Geohackers,

Whew! What a time it’s been over here lately.

It’s been a while since you’ve last heard from me. And, I guess you like getting emails from me from time to time! I know this from the emails I get (almost daily) asking for updates on how we’re doing over here!

Before I get into it, let’s start off with a recap. At XY, we have various lines of businesses. Our businesses span Internet of Things (“IoT”), Blockchain and Geospatial technologies.

Our two most well-known projects are:

1) XYO Network (launched in 2018). This is our decentralized network of devices that collect and validate data (specifically, geospatial data). Our goal with XYO centers on creating a people-powered network. XYO aims to provide confident geospatial location data. This is currently a shortcoming of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems), specifically GPS. The incentive mechanism underlying it all? The XYO Crypto Token.

2) Our second project, COIN, was launched on February 6th of this year. COIN’s mission is to provide the easiest way for anyone to earn crypto assets. COIN launched as an “XYO Geodapp” with the goal of serving as a vehicle to get as many installs as possible. The thinking was for the COIN app to serve as an XYO edge node eventually. We’ve discovered that the vision and potential of COIN is even larger than this.

Now being that my time is spent mainly on COIN, I wanted to give you an update on all the good happenings in COIN-land during the past month-or-so…

Yet I know that, especially if you’re an XY Shareholder, you want an update on how XY as a whole is doing. And for our XYO Token HODL’ers, you want to know how XYO is doing. And for my personal admirers, you probably want to know how I’m doing (I’m doing great. My mullet has really grown in, and I got my ears pierced. Right now my earrings are Bitcoin symbols, but soon I hope to get custom XYO and COIN ones made).

Anyway, I wanted to not only provide you an update on COIN, but also some other initiatives of XY, as well. So today I asked Arie and Markus to provide a brief update on XY Ops items, and XYO Network items.

Below is an update on XY’s main initiatives:

XY Operations Update:

I want to start off with what the XY Operations team has been up to. Now, both Markus and Arie didn’t want me to go too much into depth on this. Because what you’re about to read concerns XY Findables, which is a business that is less of a focus (compared with XYO and COIN). So I’ve cut out the details of XY Findables achievements lately. But it’s important for you to know one thing about this business line.

In my opinion, in the past two months, XY Findables has been the biggest surprise for us at XY. Here’s a business that launched in 2014… And has been through countless iterations. It’s been through periods of hope, despair, successes, failed starts, and has seen competitors come and go. Yet it’s STILL live and kicking. Crazy! For us, we’ve just continued to do what we do… we’ve stayed persistent.

Two years ago, I remember what the Bluetooth tracking market was like. This was right around the time I joined XY and started working again with Arie (for the first time since 2010). At the point, the leading E-Commerce distribution network was promoting our direct competitor. A product called TrackR. They were everywhere. And it was insane to think we could compete against them. But we did. Guess who that leading E-Commerce distribution network is promoting today? Yep, XY Findables. And guess what TrackR is up to today, even after raising $50 Million in funding? Nothing. The product is no longer active. Persistence, my friend, persistence.

Besides XY Findables, the XY Ops team has had their hands filled with so many things these past few months. Things that are so important yet get no visibility or spotlight.

Markus, Christine, Lin, Josh, Jessica, and the entire XY Ops team have optimized an impressive amount of our entire business.

Christine overhauled our analytics, graphs, data, charts, and business intelligence powering our company. Frankly, our insight into our business is better than it’s been in our entire company’s history (even with 85+ people).

Our very own, Christine Sako, has picked up… and integrated… and automated, our entire company’s business intelligence using Google’s BigQuery. We now feed real-time data from a multitude of data sources to our analytics dashboards.

Bottom line: XY Ops has streamlined our businesses with more insight than we’ve ever had. Woot to the XY Ops team for all their hard work!

XYO Network Update:

Now, let’s talk XYO!

One month ago we launched the public beta of the XYO Network 3.0 app recently (the iOS and Android clients for XYO).

The app has been completely re-written in the beautiful app framework called “Flutter”. This re-write will result in a more consistent app experience across all our devices (iOS, Android, Web). Best part: it shares the same codebase between all 3 platforms. This enables us to get more done with less resources. We’re working smarter, and less expensively… (and still working hard as hell!)

Our engineers are hard at work revamping a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff. For instance, we’ve made strides recently in the performance of Bluetooth Bound Witnesses on Android devices. Arie caught a shortcoming in how this was built. How? By staring at the codebase while he was on 20+ hour flight to South Africa visiting family last week!

The team is gearing up for the World Crypto Convention (WCC) Hackathon. We’re getting our SDK guides updated, and hope to attract more developers to XYO. Not only to develop on our platform, but to provide great feedback for us to learn from.

A reminder on this front: XYO is a very ambitious, multi-year project (like most ambitious blockchain projects). We’re persistent and intend to see this thing through. The idea of a decentralized geospatial data network is too exciting, and needs to happen! We believe the building blocks of the XYO platform (meaning the 4 Network components, Bound Witnesses, and Proof of Origin) will result in interesting applications, and likely some surprises.

COIN Update:

At COIN, we’re keepin’ our heads down, staying focused, and being persistent.

A lot of our biggest progress, in my opinion, has been thinking through the long-term vision of COIN. It’s been in the conversations, brainstorming sessions, and white-boarding sessions. Our biggest progress has been in our back-and-forth debates amongst the COIN Team.

Other than that, COIN is growing steadily. Here’s a graph of our growth since launching on February 6, 2019:

We’re continuing to see a record-level amount of engagement. The average COIN users spends over 3 hours per day on average with COIN app in the foreground. (To put this in perspective, that is more than users are estimated to spend on all social media… combined!)

We have begun to stabilize the 3 core products of COIN (Geomining, Geodrops, and Geoclaims).

Also, we’ve launched 2 more features recently:

  1. Referral Rewards: This gives users an incentive to invite others to use the app as well as an incentive for the new users to install the app.
  2. HODL Rewards: This gives users the opportunity to collect extra rewards based on the amount of in-app and verified external wallet address XYO holdings.

Yet, my dear friends… What I’d like to talk about next is something I’m really proud of. Our very own young pups, Jeromy Green (Marketing Associate at COIN), and Tyler Hill (Community Manager) have launched an awesome new series called “WHAC”. Which stands for “What’s Happening At COIN”. They did this WITHOUT any direction from me at all (I’m a horrible manager, by the way!). They took initiative and put something together that our COIN community is loving.

Best part? They launched a brand new episode just now, literally 24 minutes ago!

Go watch it on YouTube now below:

Make sure you hit the “Subscribe” button. That way, you won’t miss out on future videos we launch.

IMPORTANT:

If you haven’t tried out COIN in a while, now’s the time to give it another try and experience it!

Get started with COIN here: https://coinapp.co/free/

(Our Free SentinelX special offer is still live, so using that link you can still get a free SentinelX, normally valued at $50, shipped to you free after paying the shipping fee).

And that’s a wrap!

That covers a bit of what’s been going on here in XY land.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to our wonderful community. Thank you to our XY Shareholders, XYO Token HODL’ers and COIN Geohackers.

We are plugging away over here. We look forward to continuing this wild adventure with you in startup land.

We couldn’t do it without you.

Stay persistent, stay positive,

And Press On!
