AI Robot Predicts Bitcoin Price? AIPE, holds an International Competition
The top 10 teams will enter the final in January of next year and go through 5 months of verification process.
Even in one day, cryptocurrency fluctuates so many times that it is not easy to predict the price of it as an individual. There will be a new service of predicting prices of cryptocurrency. AIPE will hold an international competition and select an artificial intelligence model of predicting the cryptocurrency price based on AI. AIPE is a company which specializes in artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain.
Prediction Herobots, launched on the 20th, is an international AI competition for university students and graduate students. They use AI algorithms to build a model that predicts cryptocurrency price of after two hours and participants are supposed to predict prices of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). The preliminary screening period is for about one month until the 28th of next month, and the top 10 teams will enter the finals in January of next year. The results of the 10 teams participating in the finals will be validated for 5 months by being released to AIPE’s 3piks system which is a cryptocurrency price prediction service. The team with the most accurate predictions will receive $ 50,000 in cash and additional $ 50,000 as college scholarships. The top five teams will receive cash and AI server computers as prize.
During this five-month event, participants can use NVIDIA Tesla P40 cloud computing services supported by the Naver Business Platform (NBP). NBP said, “Through this competition, students will be able to experiment with various prediction models using cloud computing services and the services are usually very difficult for students to access. We look forward to expanding the foundation of AI development and activating the Naver cloud platform. “ NBP further added that “We will continue to provide supports during the competition by ensuring a faster and more reliable system as the data collection and analysis is important for this project.” AIPE, the sponsor of the competition, mentioned, “we look forward to seeing creative ideas and discovering various AI models linked to the blockchain through an exchange of technology among the participants.”
