UASF? Segwit? Bitcoin Judgement Day?

We at Coincards.ca love Bitcoin. With the exception of very few altcoins, we would consider ourselves Bitcoin Maximalists.

On August 1st, Bitcoin will attempt to Soft Fork through BIP148, the User-Activated-Soft-Fork. At the same time, some Miners will also be attempting their own Hard Fork.

August 1st will come with a lot of confusion, and a lot of headaches. We expect the network volume to drop significantly because of this uncertainty.

So we decided…

That’s Right. We are taking off during this uncertainty.

Coincards offices will be closed the week of August 1st 2017 until August 7 2017. All orders placed before August 1st will be processed normally.

We feel this should give the network enough time to sort itself out to a stable, enjoyable bitcoin we know and love. Plus, we really need a vacation!
