Ongoings at Coindelta — How it affects you!

First off all, we thank you for your patience and continued association with CD.
With the aim of continuing to provide a hassle free services to customers , wanted to write on a few problem areas that we are working upon at the moment;
Jan 3 10:59 PM, Coindelta API server was down unexpectedly due to issues in the AWS (Amazon web services) hosts where our API server was located. This kind of problem required AWS involvement and as informed by the AWS Technical Support, the host was experiencing degraded performance and experienced further failure rendering the host unresponsive.
It not only affected us but multiple websites.
How the issue was resolved
Our tech team instantly recovered the instance and moved it to another host on AWS. We resumed trading on Jan 4 1:00 AM.
All other servers and wallets were not affected as they are separated from the API server and are regularly backed up and monitored.
INR instant deposits and withdrawals suspension
Last few days saw CD suspended the instant deposit and withdrawal feature that was earlier introduced with the vision of providing a seamless trading experience. It was due to unforeseen circumstances that our payment partners have been going through. Payment gateway and wallet services were also taken down as per guidelines from our payment partner on an urgent basis.
How the issue was resolved
We have come up with new solutions and started INR withdrawal on Jan 2. Deposits will also get enabled on or before Jan 5 12:00 AM. Kindly keep checking the notification bar for further update.
User experience due to increased traffic
We started our journey on Sep 22, 2017. In just three months, we have seen an exponential growth, the figures surpassing our initial expectations. Our infrastructure was not designed initially to handle the growth that we saw. Consequently, it affected user experiences as the site could not handle much traffic.
How the issue was resolved
We have scaled up our servers and worked on several performance improvements. We can now handle more traffic than before. We are actively working on new scaling solutions to provide uninterrupted trading experience to all of our users as well as the increased demand.
Price difference of Cryptocurrencies
We have seen few complaints about prices on Coindelta. Since the prices on the exchange are decided by demand and supply, it’s the buyers and sellers who decide the price, so we do not play any direct role in that. The possible explanation for different prices could be the halt of deposit service (which we are resuming tonight) on our exchange. There are several factors which decide the price of any currency/commodity in any market.
Delayed response for resolving ticket
We are trying to solve the issues on a priority basis but delays in the responses are anticipated if the ticket has been raised with the wrong department or if multiple tickets were created.
Additionally with the increased numbers , it has been difficult catering to demands responding to tickets within 24 hours.
How the issue was resolved
We request you to create only one ticket for an issue and choose the appropriate department for fast resolution of your queries. We are in process of scaling up our support team and adding more moderators for chat services to achieve quicker resolution on new tickets along with better interaction with the community to resolve issues.
Registrations are limited
Due to spike in number of users, we decided not to take new registrations temporarily. This decision was taken in the interest of providing the best possible trading experience to our current members.
How the issue was resolved
Meanwhile, we are working on the scaling of our product and services. Registrations will begin shortly and will be notified to you separately.
Future updates
In Q1 2018, our major focus will be on scaling our team, adding new features to the website, improving infrastructures and android app release. Our android app is in the final stages and is being tested internally.
We are delighted to see the love from the community with telegram users reaching 3600. It is gratifying to see how the telegram group has become a place for Indian crypto enthusiasts to interact with each other. This could not have been possible without the support of our community members. We are very thankful to you all, who help the newcomers in understanding the basics of cryptocurrencies. In hindsight , we might not have been able to meet expectations but we are a team that is committed to and working constantly to provide you the best cryptocurrency exchange in India.
