Lootboxes’ benchmarked it’s idea from Wechat’s Hongbao(紅包) feature. You can put your coins in lootboxes and your friends can open up these boxes to take coins randomly or first-come first-served.
There are times when you want to give out gifts to your friends or random people in the group chat for fun. Normally, you would just send them coupons or play a simple lottery, but through Clay’s Lootboxes, you can conveniently send coins through web links! Just make one Lootbox and distribute them to as many people as you want.

Creating a Lootbox
Download Clay and you can start making Lootboxes today. Go to the Lootbox tab and follow the simple guidelines. You just have to decide if you want to make a limited edition, (first-come, first-served) or random distribution, and Quiz lootbox. Select how much coins to give out, and how many people will receive it. Once it’s created, go share the link to give them out! Check ‘My Lootboxes’ menu to see the history of your Lootboxes.
Opening a Lootbox
The web link is available when you create a Lootbox. You can share them on instant messengers like Telegram, or just copy and paste the link to wherever you want to. Share them in your group chats and let them loot.
You can open up a Lootbox in your Clay app, and the winners will receive the coins directly to their Clay wallet! It’ll be sent in few minutes, and you’ll even get a push notification when the transaction is complete. WOW.
What happens if a user clicked the Lootbox link but doesn’t have a Clay app? Don’t worry, it’ll lead you to Appstore or Playstore where they can download the Clay app.
