We are excited to announce the launch of CoinMirror’s Beta! The team has been working on hard on many fronts and we are proud to be able to bring our product to market so quickly.

I will lay out a brief “Getting Started” guide below, if there are any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via Telegram (@dubbledee22) or via email at dan@coinmirror.co.

How To Setup Beta Testing:

Although the CoinMirror dApp is ready to be used with real Ether, at this early stage it is best to use the Rinkeby Test Net to interact with the CoinMirror interface and try different functions.

CoinMirror’s dApp interacts with the Ethereum network via the MetaMask wallet infrastructure. This means you must have MetaMask installed as a browser extension and then collect some test Ether.

  1. Install Metamask. MetaMask works with Chrome, Firefox, Opera or the Brave Browser.
  2. Once you have Metamask installed, the dev testing site for CoinMirror will be available for use. You can find it at this link: https://coinmirrordev.herokuapp.com/

When you click on the Metamask extension, you will see a drop-down menu at the top, select the Rinkeby Test Network.

You will then need to get some Test ETH.

  1. This can be done here: https://faucet.rinkeby.io, you then need to post on social media and collect your test Ether.
You must copy the address and tweet it out.

2. This is a bit complicated, but within the Metamask wallet, you must find and copy your address, post a tweet with this address, copy the link to this tweet, and then paste it back into the Faucet page. As soon as this is processed you can delete the tweet. Remember this is solely the public address of your Metamask, no one can access your funds!

Copy the link to the Tweet

Once you have pasted the link, you will get a notification that your Ether is on its way — this may take some time.

Paste the link and select “Give Me Ether”

In the mean time, you can return to the CoinMirror dev site.

What Can I Test?

There are a number of functions that you can test on the website including: creating Syndicates, backing Syndicates, withdrawing ETH, deploying funds to test ICOs, claiming Tokens, withdrawing Tokens, selling Tokens and receiving ETH back.

Lead a Syndicate & explore your backings

We would suggest creating your own Syndicate and backing it yourself. You can share the link and have your friends back your new Syndicate as well.

At this point, you can test any functionality you would like, I would recommend to get started on the “My Dashboard” page.

When you are ready, the available test ICOs are:
