A Good Day For An Online Community Leader ☕️

--

If you think like me, a community can be related to a car-ride. The community members are the passengers and we as community leaders are the drivers.

The car ride may not be perfect and there may be unseen road bumps along the journey, but as leaders, we do our best to always have the better well-being of the car and the passengers in our heart.

It’s our car, we pay for gas, make sure it’s oiled and water filled. We also pay taxes on it.

It’s our job as community managers/leaders to guide our passengers safely on this long (1–3mo) journey with a final destination(product launch, new partnership, new service offering, etc…)

There will be many small pitstops along the way (giveaways, new employee hires, flash offer, etc…)

A GREAT COMMUNITY LEADER SHOULD KEEP GIVING THE COMMUNITY THINGS THAT ARE GREAT TO TOPICS TO TALK ABOUT WITH OTHERS
- Parties -Product Drops -New Graphics -New Features/Tech. -Content -etc…

GOOD DAY AS A COMMUNITY LEADER

___________________
7–8*:
Get-Up

8:30*: Coffee, Bathroom, etc…☕️

9*: Hop on computer. Check Discord, Twitter and all socials

Share a picture via discord/twitter… of the cup of coffee you drank this morning and ask community members to share their cups of coffee or tea with you and joke about the coffee mugs you own for a couple brief conversations back and forth via Twitter/TikTok/YouTube/Instagram@thedudescrypto

10*: Once you’ve settled with your brief conversations, leave more talking to be done within the community itself so you may tend to other tasks that the community needs to thrive as a proper functioning machine. Think how a ship works with a crew, and we are the captain’s, many moving parts.

UP TO THIS POINT, THIS CAN BE A WHOLE JOB THE COMMUNITY MANAGER DOES, IS ENGAGE WITH THE COMMUNITY CONSISTENTLY AND THUS BUILD TRUE FANS/FRIENDS.

A GREAT COMMUNITY LEADER WOULD KEEP GIVING THE COMMUNITY GREAT THINGS TO TALK ABOUT WITH OTHERS.

10:30*: We wanted to work with an influencer to promote our new NFT release on Twitter.

He was asking .1e and we talked him down to .08e but on Binance utilizing BNB token & blockchain.

I would take advantage of the .5e budget issued to me from the owners in a mutual crypto wallet. I’ll pay the strategically chosen Influencer to promote our NFT as a reward/giveaway to their Health and Wellness targeted demographic.

We can do this in 3–5 different demographics if we would choose.

11*: Confirm with any other team members (or with yourself if you’re working alone) of any new updates? Website update? Tech updates? Price increase? New community members? Upcoming events? Going Public? etc…

11:30*: Make a brief announcement on Discord and/or Twitter + any other socials you would like about good information coming from the team above. If there is any bad news, that needs to be shared too. A leader is both good at giving information, and knowing when information needs to be held for effectiveness.

12*: Spend the next 2–3hrs working on something worth talking about. Let’s say we’re launching an NFT Project, we’re working alone, with little budget and want to generate traction by producing content… You could try the formula below:

  • Create a Blog post
  • Filming/Edit a YT/TT video based on the Blog post
  • Rip the audio from the video and add it as a Podcast
  • Post and Distributing the video/blog/podcast to social networks utilizing TikTok, Twitter, Discord, IG, Etc…

This is the main function of a “content creator”.

Get creative with it and be unique, worth talking about.

Content creation and distribution takes a lot of work, rejection from the audience, fear of criticism, consistency, and creativity to be a good content creator… Don’t get me wrong, it’s not an easy task to do all that work…

If we aren’t involved with content creation, we must find a way to fill our time to make sure our passengers can have a better, more entertaining/rewarding journey to our destination.

Consistent giveaways work but can require diligent logistics and are better utilized strategically with key influencers instead if consistently as our members can become reliant on freebies/giveaways and we want paying customers, true fans…

3: Check back in with Discord and Twitter

Any new updates within the community? Are you hosting any events tonight? Is anyone you know hosting events tonight? What about this weekend or even month?

Community Leaders will consistently be having to instigate the conversation between community members as humans seem to be inherently shy and need the initial push in one direction sometimes.

It’s usually a good way to start up a conversation by any upcoming events about to happen, such as:

- What are you going to do with the money you'll make from minting one of our NFT when we launch in a week?

- (if you’re a sports fan/NFT project) Did you guys see the Warriors smash the Lakers last night in game 3???

- We have a major partnership with The Dudes Crypto coming up on Friday and they’re giving out 1 Legendary NFT (only 5 made) and I really want to win one because I hear that holders of the MetaDads will give you “passive income”…

- What outfit are you bringing to our costume party on Halloween this Halloween in Vancouver at Harrys Bar!?!? Best outfit gets 1 Legendary NFT upon Mint week!!!

5: Final check-in with the team and community.
Relay any important info.

7: Say goodnight to the community and leave them with a “tip” of some sort, something to look forward to tomorrow. Leave them with a smile on their faces as you depart. Flip them a quarter as you walk out the door…

Work on:
- Planning events
- Producing/distributing content
- Engaging with community members
- Paying influencers/team/…
- Setting up new partnerships
- Posting content to social
- Delegating tasks to subordinates
- Hiring new team members
- Making connections
- Being where “people like us” hang-out
- Facebook/LinkedIn groups
- etc…

*Options:
1.) Check mobile discord and social updates. If you have had any ongoing jokes/conversations/past victories to get out to your community first thing to “keep the conversation going”, you would do this first.

2.) Twitter Spaces are showing to be a real connection. Something about hearing soemones voice instead of simply text makes people connect more.
