Could this be the BEST Free DCA Bot Trading Platform for Futures (and maybe soon Spot)?

Hey Everyone!!

Throughout my Crypto journey, I’ve used a LOT of different DCA trading platforms and there’s a LOT to choose from. Each one has their advantages and disadvantages but Wick Hunter stands out to me as one of my favourites and let me tell you why…….

First, let’s start with how much the platform costs to use. You have 2 options….

Option 1 — Free

  • If you use their exchange referral codes, the trading platform is completely free to use on Bybit, Bitget, Apex & OKX. For Binance & Finandy a paid plan is required. If you don’t already have a Binance account, you can sign up here to get a reduction on your fees.

Option 2 — Paid

  • If you don’t use their referral codes, the platform is still relatively inexpensive to use. Their pricing tiers are simple, pay for the number of exchanges you want to connect. No other complexity, no limited features just pay for the number of exchanges you want to connect.

Pricing is always one of the most important considerations but now that we have pricing out of the way, let’s talk about why I like this platform so much.

Exchange Options

Being in the UK, trading futures on most exchanges is restricted. The ability to to use Apex (a decentralised exchange) & Finandy have removed this barrier. I can trade futures on these exchanges without a problem. Finandy have recently introduced KYC but Futures trading isn’t restricted like Binance, OKX & Bybit. This is a big benefit for me!

Execution Speed

Trades execute QUICK. From an alert triggering on TradingView to a position being open on the exchange is the quickest execution speed on the exchange of any platform I’ve used. Often, I switch tabs and see the deal is already open. This is extremely useful when trying to review backtesting results from TradingView strategies.

Features

Wick Hunter has all of the standard features you would expect from a DCA bot but has far more flexibility than most other platforms.

In addition to all of the standard settings like SO Step Scale, SO Volume Scale, Take Profit, Stop Loss — you can create multiple Take Profits and Stop Losses for your deals.

You can control the total number of open positions and be more granular by limiting the number of longs or shorts individually.

You can prevent new positions from opening when a certain amount of capital has been used. This is a life saver when multiple positions open when there’s a large pull back in prices if you are trading multiple assets.

There’s a unique bot in the platform which you can use to enter trades on certain sizes of liquidation and when price crosses a configurable VWAP deviation. This is a counter trend trading strategy which aims to scalp profit on large wicks (hence the name Wick Hunter). Given the execution speed of the platform, there’s lots of money that can be made here but be aware that there’s lots of trial and error here so if you plan to use this, start small and build experience & confidence!

There’s lots of really useful information in their Discord which I’d highly recommend you check you out.

It’s also worth noting that there’s continuous improvements taking place within the platform too. From the screenshot above, you can see that Hedge Bots & Grid Bots are coming soon. I’m not a huge fan of Grid Bots — primarily as I have less experience in this space — but for those of you that like using Grid Bots this will add more options on this platform.

In addition to new functionality, the team are currently working on introducing spot exchanges starting with Binance Spot. This is a big positive for me as this will mean I can reduce the number of trading platforms that I use.

PnL Reporting is also very good in Wick Hunter. You can see information on which pairs have netted you the most profit (or losses), average time in deals, largest profit, previous deals (including DCA counts) and lots more. I’ve included some screenshots below from one of my (new degen) accounts.

In addition to the dashboard reporting, you can also setup notifications to Telegram or Discord to be notified at all points throughout your open deals.

A couple of things I will call out — and the first isn’t a disadvantage of the platform as such — whilst there’s lots of flexibility and advanced features in the platform, it can feel daunting using it until you get used to it. Personally, my advice would be to not let this put you off. Once you’ve created a couple of bots, it’s actually quite easy to use.

Secondly, managing deals is missing the ability to add additional DCA orders. This isn’t the end of the world as these can be added manually on the exchange and the open deal will automatically update the TP/SL but the ability to add additional DCA orders would be useful.

What about the Team & the Community?

I’ve been hanging around in the Discord server for a long while. There’s a substantial amount of information in Discord from people who use the platform. People post their results and share information on their approaches to Liquidation bots which can speed up the time for you to become profitable using their features. Remember, if you’re using their platform for free using referral codes, they want people to be successful as this brings revenue through exchange fees. This doesn’t mean they will tell you their settings and the exact strategies they use but you can learn a lot! You can join their Discord here.

Finally, this feels like a lengthy article already but I will be covering Wick Hunter in more detail on the RealisticCrypto YouTube channel. I’ll also look to create a series of how to videos which will cover everything you need to get started.

That’s it for this article. Please remember, nothing I say is financial advice. I’m not responsible for any losses (or profits) you incur by using these platforms and services. This isn’t a paid or sponsored article and I always look to share the platforms and services that I use that make me money throughout my Crypto journey!
