Does Elon Musk Want to Make ‘Dogecoin as a Payment Option’ Possible on Twitter?
Maybe the Possible Future of Payments is Dogecoin!

Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has been a vocal supporter of dogecoin, a cryptocurrency that was created as a joke.
In recent months, Musk has repeatedly tweeted about dogecoin, helping to push its price up by more than 1,000%.
Now, it appears that Musk is serious about making dogecoin a viable payment option.
On Wednesday, Musk tweeted that he had been in talks with dogecoin developers about making the cryptocurrency “a payment option” on the social media platform Twitter.
“Working with Doge devs to improve system transaction efficiency. Potentially promising,” Musk tweeted.
Dogecoin developers appear to be open to the idea of working with Musk.
“We are always open to working with anyone to help grow the Dogecoin community and network,” said Ross Nicoll, a dogecoin developer, in an email to CNBC.
If Musk can make dogecoin a payment option on Twitter, it could be a major boost for the cryptocurrency.
Twitter has more than 330 million monthly active users, and if even a small fraction of them started using dogecoin to tip each other or make purchases, it could drive up the price of the cryptocurrency.
Of course, nothing is certain yet, and Musk maybe just trolling the cryptocurrency community again. But if he is serious, this could be big news for Dogecoin.
