In its sixth week of new music NFT drops, EQ Exchange is launching two new artists: LXNNY and Rebecca Mardal on May 18 and May 22.
These additions join EQ Exchange as the company continues to cut out the middleman while offering unique opportunities to fans such as opportunities for concert tickets and meet-and-greets.
This innovative movement toward empowering artists through digital assets sets the stage for reformed relationships between fans and artists.
In addition to gaining funding directly from their fanbases, EQ Exchange allows artists to trophy their content in a tangible way. From gaining access to unique opportunities to genuinely owning a piece from their favorite artist, EQ patrons can cultivate true ties between themselves and the music they love.
The EQ team, driven to achieve true accessibility in the music industry, seeks to bridge the gaps between artists and music lovers. Operating with full transparency, “EQ takes a simple 3% fee on projects funded by EQ,” said CEO Janice Taylor. “No IP ownership, no royalty share.”

LXNNY
LXNNY is an artist from North Carolina who mixes, masters and produces all of his own material. With his 2022 album release LORD, PROTECT US, the artist continues to explore his creative freedom and offers a new sound to fans.
“This album is a sensory kaleidoscope of a vibe…all with a backdrop of silky smooth beats, alternately intentional and meandering flows and splashes of bluesy, jazzy sounds,” said listener Eileen Dunn. “It’s a singularly unique creation — one that reinforces the power and necessity of independent hip hop.”
Rebecca Mardal
Rebecca Mardal is a versatile guitarist whose intimate lo-fi music can evoke Jimi Hendrix one moment, Joni Mitchell the next.
“I make chill music for stressed minds, said Mardal. “Playing the guitar has always been like meditation to me. There just aren’t any thoughts going on. It truly is the only time where my mind is just completely quiet, so each track truly is a representation of the emotions at that moment in time. No thoughts, just emotions.”
Mardal said she is enthusiastic about her partnership with EQ and the potential for growth on the part of both artists and fans.
“What excites me about this is that you too get a share. Meaning, when your favorite artist blows up you’ll get a share of that too.”
