- The U.S. Justice Department has seized and is now seeking the forfeiture of thousands of bitcoins tied to the now-defunct Silk Road dark web market, with the holdings valued in excess of $1 billion.
- Crypto exchange Binance has begun blocking U.S. users from accessing its exchange platform.
- In its filing, Cred listed estimated assets of between $50 million and $100 million and liabilities between $100 million and $500 million.
- The recent PayPal 2020 PH Consumer Survey revealed that 87% of Filipinos have increased their usage of digital payment platforms during the pandemic.
