With around 250–300 million active Google Sheets users worldwide and even more using Excel, managing these tools efficiently is essential. To address this need, I’ve explored several AI apps that simplify formula creation and enhance creativity with spreadsheets. These innovations not only save time but also streamline workflow. GPT Excel

This app has a free trial, but not free forever. It allows you to prompt for any Excel, Google Sheets, or Airtable Formula and create SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, and other queries and rational expressions in Regex. Please take a look at the video below for a quick walkthrough.

Numerous

Numerous is an outstanding app that serves as an extension to your browser. After installing it, as demonstrated in the video below, you can activate it by navigating to Extensions and selecting it. This tool allows you to:

• Interact directly with your tables.
• Create comments on specific texts.
• Generate and elucidate formulas, and
• Perform tasks such as classifying, formatting, and extracting data, among various other functions.

Sheety AI

Sheety AI is another tool that I have been playing with, where you can prompt via text for any Google Sheet Formula, very easy to use, just describe your problem in the left box and get a formula to solve it in the right box. Catered for Google Sheets users only.

ChatGPT

Similarly, you can prompt ChatGPT to give you Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, and any formulas or queries, but it will take an extra step as you have to prompt it correctly, copy the output, and paste it into the correct cell (or table) and adjust as needed to obtain the correct output.

Our Favorite is Numerous AI as its embedded in our google sheets and makes it easy to use, by saving time jumping from screen to screen of app to app, but all of the above work well. Let us know which one do you like the most.

The Biden administration has recently revoked export licenses for Intel and Qualcomm, preventing them from supplying semiconductors to Huawei. This decision is part of broader efforts to apply pressure on the Chinese tech industry, citing national security concerns.

These revoked licenses specifically impact the supply of chips for Huawei’s laptops and mobile phones. This action reflects ongoing tensions between the U.S. and China over technology and cybersecurity, with the U.S. maintaining strict controls despite Huawei’s attempts to overcome these barriers, as evidenced by their development of advanced chips and new products like the Mate 60 Pro smartphone and MateBook X Pro laptop. The move has been described by experts as an indication of the U.S.’s firm stance on national security threats posed by Chinese technology. This decision has also been framed as economic bullying by the Chinese embassy, which criticized the U.S. for undermining the global economic and trading order.

New Tool Tackles Image Authenticity

OpenAI has developed a new detection tool that allegedly is capable of identifying 98% of images generated by its DALL-E 3 system under typical conditions. However, the tool’s effectiveness decreases when images are modified, such as through cropping or hue changes.

This reflects broader challenges in the AI industry in tracking and identifying AI-generated content. Amidst growing concerns over the proliferation of fake AI-created images, particularly in influencing public opinion during elections, OpenAI’s efforts are part of a larger initiative to enhance digital content authenticity. The company has also joined a Microsoft and Adobe-led industry group and, along with Microsoft, launched a $2 million fund to support AI education. Despite its high accuracy, the tool sometimes mistakenly flags non-AI images as AI-generated and struggles with images from other AI sources.
