Here is How Axie Infinity Can Reach $100 Again

Axie Infinity (AXS) has the potential to reach the $100 big psychological target if the current daily bullish flag target is met. There is a high probability that AXS’s price is in the process to bottom as the current rally comes after a bullish divergence signal was spotted at the lows.

AXS Bullish Flag Pattern

The bullish flag is a continuation pattern that simply signals a pause in the prevailing uptrend followed by a continuation higher. The bullish flag target can be obtained by projecting to the upside the same price distance equal to the size of the pole.

In our case, the measured move target falls right near the $100 big psychological number.

We also have a break in the market structure as the price is starting to print higher highs and higher lows, which usually leads to higher prices. However, technically speaking, as long as we trade below the key 200-day simple moving average, we’re still in a downtrend. So, the bulls would need to clear that level to the upside as well to confirm a large-scale shift in the market sentiment.

Additionally, the RSI oscillator continues to stay above the 50 mid-level, signaling that the bullish momentum is still behind the current rally.

Bitcoin — Ethereum SMT Divergence. One is Stronger, one is Weaker

The smart money tool (SMT) divergence is used by traders to determine if the trend is getting stronger or weaker, which may lead to a shift in the market sentiment. If we compare Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), we can notice that one is stronger and the other one is weaker.

However, this correlation is not visible to the naked eye because they seem to move in tandem.

Bitcoin — Ethereum SMT Divergence

Based on the coinmetrics data, the BTC-ETH correlation stands at 0.89, which is nearing all-time high values by historical standards. This means that there is a strong positive relationship between the two cryptocurrencies.

The SMT divergence concept can help a trader find short-term price discrepancies. If BTC and ETH have a strong correlation, the price should mimic the same price action. For example, if Ethereum makes a higher high, Bitcoin should do the same.

However, sometimes there is a break in that correlation, and that’s exactly what happened recently. ETH’s price made a higher high, but Bitcoin made a lower high. In practical terms, it means ETH is stronger than Bitcoin, so we can expect Bitcoin to sell more relative to ETH during the current pullback.

Here is How Bitcoin Dominance Ratio Can Make You a Smarter Crypto Trader

In simple terms, the Bitcoin dominance ratio measures the coin’s market cap relative to the entire cryptocurrency market. Therefore, this ratio can be a handy tool to determine how strong Bitcoin (BTC) is, compared to the altcoins.

How to Use Bitcoin Dominance

As crypto investors and traders, it’s essential to distinguish differences in market conditions between BTC and altcoins. Veteran investors already know that the crypto market is evolving in cycles.

As a result, there are times when Bitcoin outperforms the overall crypto market. Similarly, at other times, the altcoin prices rise faster than Bitcoin.

One of the simplest ways to use Bitcoin dominance is determining which has the strongest trend between BTC and altcoins. If you know that Bitcoin’s price is outperforming altcoins or vice versa, you can position accordingly and maximize your profits.

There is a 2-step process you need to follow:

  1. Determine the trend on the Bitcoin dominance chart
  2. Determine Bitcoin trend

Lastly, once the general bias was established, you buy Bitcoin if both the BTC dominance ratio and BTC price are in an uptrend and sell Bitcoin if they are in a downtrend. Similarly, you buy altcoins if the BTC dominance ratio is in a downtrend and BTC’s price is in an uptrend. At the same time, you sell altcoins if the BTC dominance ratio is in an uptrend but the BTC’s price is in a downtrend.

When Can We Confirm A Bullish BTC Or Crypto Market?

Some of the most frequently asked questions in the Crypto space are: “Are we in an uptrend?” “Has the bullish market started yet?”. So how do we determine when a bull market started, and when one has ended? That is what we will explore in this blog. Stay tuned until the end to find out.

How do we determine a bullish market based on technical indicators?

Identifying a bullish market starts by selecting the right timeframe. The right timeframes, in this case, are the ones that are usually used by position traders, are either the 1-week or the 1-day timeframe.

We will then need to select the right indicators. Trend-following indicators are usually the most appropriate here.

MESA Weekly Chart

The MESA is displayed as a green cloud during bullish market conditions, and as a red cloud during bearish market conditions. This indicator should only be used when trying to identify major bullish moves (lasting at least 180 days). The MESA on the weekly chart identified a bullish uptrend on the 26th of October 2015 until the 26th of March 2018. Even if you had just held this position over 882 days, you would have made an almost 2,000% profit. This bullish market was so long that we had to use the logarithmic chart to fit it well in the figure below.

Like all indicators, this one isn’t perfect. It can give out fake signals, such as between the 3rd of February and the 2nd of March, when you would have ended up in a loss, had you traded solely based on this.

Crossover Of The 5 + 25 EMA Daily Chart

The crossover of the 5 and 25 EMA on the daily chart is another option for identifying bullish and bearish markets. This indicator reacts faster to change than the previous option. Therefore it will indicate when a bull market started and ended before the MESA on the Weekly chart. As shown in the graph below, this indicator isn’t perfect either. However, if you had solely used this indicator over the past year, you would have made around a 500% gain. So if you started with $1,000, then you will end up with $1,000*3*1.02*0.97*1.02*1.3*1.3= $5,117.

Parabolic SAR Daily Chart

Last but not least, we have the Parabolic SAR on the daily chart. The Parabolic SAR reacts the fastest out of all of the other options presented in this blog. The indicator is displayed by dots underneath the price in bullish market conditions and dots above the price in bearish market conditions. This indicator can be used as a stop loss by position takers. It is particularly useful for scalpers who use strategies that are very dependent upon market conditions.

Conclusion

Selecting the right timeframe is the first step to identifying a bullish market. The daily and weekly timeframes are the most common choices. You can then use trend following-indicators such as the MESA, EMA Crossovers, and the Parabolic SAR to identify the direction of the current trend. All of the indicators mentioned in this blog are available at Cryptohopper. You can add them to your fully automated strategy to make sure you are only trading during bullish market conditions.
