In this guide, you will learn how to transfer any token from polygon (Matic Network) to Ethereum blockchain faster and without any mistake. The process has been broken down in a way that any novice can understand and apply the knowledge instantly.

Matic blockchain is also known as polygon network, it is a layer 2 solution for the Ethereum blockchain that allows easy and faster exchange of digital assets. For a very long time, transaction costs on the ethereum blockchain have continued to increase, and it is getting slower every year because of its level of adoption.

To put in perspective, when a project like Bounty0x hosts a crypto bounty campaign on behalf of projects that are built on Ethereum blockchain, it gets to a time when it costs over $3,000 to distribute tokens to Bounty hunters because the token is ERC20. This is a ridiculous amount of fee.

Recently, the platform began to distribute tokens using polygon bridges, and this reduced the cost of distribution by 99%. When the bounty hunters receive these tokens, they find it difficult to move from the Ethereum blockchain using a polygon bridge. So, this tutorial is packed with information on how to use a polygon bridge and move any token of your choice within 45 minutes. In less than an hour, you can move a token from matic to ethereum.

Here Is Practical Guide on How to Use Polygon (Matic Network) Bridge

Step 1: Visit the polygon website, but make sure that metamask is installed on your PC, then configure it for Polygon (Matic Network). If you don’t know how to do this, read the full tutorial here.

Step 2: Visit as seen in the screenshot and login with your metamask. If you are doing this for the first time, you will find some $Matic in your wallet, this is enough to make about 5 transactions.

Step 3: One you see all your tokens displayed like these, click on the withdraw button at the right hand side of the token that you want to move to the Ethereum blockchain.

Step 4: Check the Ethereum network fee, and ensure that you have enough Ether to pay as gas fee, otherwise your transaction will be rejected. If you have enough ether, you can proceed to the next step by clicking on ‘continue.’

Step 5: It will display the amount of tokens that is being moved across the bridge, check again to confirm that you are moving the right amount. Then click on ‘continue.’ This requires almost zero fee on Polygon (Matic Network).

Step 6: Confirm the transaction on Metamask, you will pay about $0.02 as transaction fee.

Step 7: Wait for 45 minutes or 3 hours, allow the toke to cross all the checkpoints on the bridge

Step 8: When all bridges are crossed, your token will arrive at the last checkpoint where it is time to pay the gas fee, so it can get to its final destination. Click on ‘continue.’ The transaction fee is $42 and it can be as high as $200 depending on congestion on ethereum blockchain.

Step 9: Confirm the transaction with Metamast

Step 10: Wait for the transaction to get confirmed on ethereum blockchain, this could take 5–25 minutes

Step 11: Transfer completed successfully! Check etherscan to be sure that your token has been moved to the ethereum chain.

Step 12: Congratulations! It as been moved from Polygon (Matic Network) to Ethereum Blockchin using Plasma Bridge

You have just learn how to move any token from matic to ethereum in just 12 steps.
