I can’t believe someone tried to shoot Trump.

Probably the image of the year in 2024.

It is 2024.

We have drones that can water crops, monitor the skies and deliver medicine to remote villages.

We have almost self-driving cars, rockets that can land back on earth by themselves and digital jpegs worth millions.

Yet we can’t keep a key political figure safe.

Yet we can have someone get up on a roof, shoot a speaker with hundreds of innocent spectators at a rally in broad daylight.

It’s just inane.

So, did the secret service fail?

Former President Donald Trump, known for his fiery speeches and bold declarations, found himself dodging bullets, quite literally.

In a world where political rhetoric often feels like a game of brinkmanship, the irony of a real assassination attempt is both shocking and darkly humorous.

Imagine being so polarizing that someone tries to take you out mid-speech.

It’s almost too on-the-nose for a man who thrives on controversy.

The attempted assassination is a glaring reminder of the extremes in American politics today.

In America, politics is a very dangerous game indeed.

Just how dangerous is politics in the USA?

The attacker, Thomas Matthew Crooks, wielded an AR-15 from a rooftop, reminiscent of scenes from action movies.

Trump, shot in the ear, managed to continue, bleeding but unbowed.

His supporters hailed it as a testament to his resilience.

The rest of us couldn’t help but notice the dramatic symbolism: a wounded leader still rallying his base.

Data suggests this incident might even boost his popularity.

In 1981, Reagan’s approval rating jumped after he was shot.

I know right, people are unpredictable at worst and irrational at best.
