iExec: Powerhouse of AI and Web3
Since its inception in 2017, we've not seen a formidable cloud computing platform revolutionize and change the status quo of not just its primary field but by extension other prominent ones. This is the story of iExec. iExec has leveled the argument about “what can” and “what cannot” be done by projects in the cryptocurrency space.
iExec, a blockchain backed technological platform, has integrated the transparency aspect of it not just in its innovations but as a core mindset for whatever it develops. Confidential Computing, a tool that ensures the security of the users and assets has been another bold imprint left by iExec.
The AI and Web3 ecosystems are one of the vast sectors of the Crypto world and this comes with a huge amount of workload. The iExec team, has been on the front foot of both sectors. A Marketplace for developers or communities with access to vast amounts of Dapps which are monetized for the providers. The resources from this marketplace can be used to build Web3 apps but the catch isn't the provision of just the resources, it's the fact that there is confidentiality and ownership preservation. Web3Mail, a tool by iExec built on the Confidential Computing framework, gives an edge to the Web3 sector as their personal information like emails are protected with only their Ethereum addresses being revealed to users.
The AI industry, over $200B worth, has seen a significant impact of iExec. The key concept that it lacked, trust is being integrated thanks to iExec. The transparency Blockchain offers and Confidential computing by iExec are the missing links in AI industry. We must trust the source of whatever information we get and the AI industry isn't left out. Inasmuch as AI models can be monetized securely and sensitive data can be deployed for AI usage thanks to iExec, the industry lacks the ability to both secure its models and show it can be trustworthy. Transparency and security solves the mystery in the AI world by creating decentralized power making every user have a say unlike before.
In all of these, iExec gained its powerhouse influence by intertwining both sectors and still creating individuals solutions for both. Sounds amazing right? This approach hasn't been heard of but has started gaining traction unlike those who have been around for years. Imagine a user (provider) who wants to rent out his computing power and a developer who needs them to build an application. iExec, being the intermediary, swings into action and provides security and monetization for that asset whilst maintaining its ownership, the developer on the other hand has access to vast amount of computing power to effectively complete his work. In another case, sensitive data deployed as an AI model is supplied to a company for usage, iExec monetizes this asset, protects it and makes it available for the public to see and enable trust in what this company is offering as either service or information.
iExec still has the distinct tools for each sector to singlehandedly function, from Web3Mail to DataProtector, Privacy-Enhancing Technologies to Trusted Execution Environments, which are being integrated by firms of both AI and Web3 sectors, we're set for a revolution like never before. As a compute DePIN project also, a new horizon with NVIDIA is upon us. The public has always embraced life changing technology and iExec won't be left out.
