Being a bridge consists of having the necessary structure to pave the way into other or obvious routes and so far iExec has been splendid at doing this. The Cloud computing giant being the viaduct towards innovations in the AI, Web3 and DePIN sectors isn’t emphasized enough. iExec has achieved a lot of progress by sticking to the basics; trust, scalability, and security, and diversifying into various sectors. After having a huge ICO in 2017,they took a persistent approach towards innovations and technologies that have stood the test of time and constantly developed into problem solving tools.

The Bridge

iExec struck gold by not being traditional but by being modern (evolving). It takes guts to achieve a piece of what their present bridge-like structure has obtained. In all this, confidential computing spearheaded every movement into each field, but they didn’t do it alone. Like minds they say achieve great things and leveraging this iExec collaborated with Intel, NVIDIA and Microsoft Azure to birth revolutionary technology.

Since its alliance with Intel, we saw an improvement in performance in the AI sector. With its ‘Renting out AI models’ solutions being backed by Intel, a boost into Trusted Execution Environments followed. This saw iExec featured in Intel’s AI Builders program, and presently a Gold Alliance member. iExec approached the AI ecosystem to provide key security elements of the blockchain in an off chain infrastructure, hence the development of Intel SGX technology and enclaves leading to them becoming the movement in the process. The first decentralized marketplace was created still leveraging on blockchain technology showing the trusted off-chain computing strength of iExec. Cloud computing assets became available, supported in compute-intensive applications fields like AI, Fintech, healthcare etc. which was always the convergence picture of iExec. Recently we saw news of the Intel Trust Domain Extensions in development which will usher Trust into the AI sector, confirming iExec as the pioneer of ‘trusted-compute’ solution for the blockchain (TEE using Intel SGX). Its part as a leader in trusted computing earned it the role as a compute DePIN giant by Messari, but it didn’t just stop there.

iExec being the bridge extends to startups revolutionizing industries with advancements in AI and data science, leading to the adoption of the NVIDIA Inception program by becoming a member. Its alliance with Intel to bring confidential computing to CPU assets led to another with NVIDIA for GPU assets. This grants GPU users on-demand access to computing power accelerating workloads and new applications. The first of its kind, it is bridged by iExec to ease access into AI and deep learning fields which possess heavy computing requirements. The Inception program gave iExec more insight into GPU computing, leading to its current focus that combines Intel TDX and NVIDIA H100 GPUs for confidential computing. Its support for startups through the Inception program in the AI field to usher them into the world that it’s creating is phenomenal.

Now here’s the catch, in its journey to bring Trust/Confidential computing into every sphere, for AI, it. knew as the bridge it had one last missing path, Microsoft Azure. Azure comes in handy for both CPU and GPU confidential computing by the combination with its Virtual Machines (VMs). These confidential Azure VMs are deployed in Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) for CPU confidential computing with iExec being integrated with NVIDIA H100 Tensor core GPUs to enable GPU confidential computing. This innovation offers flexibility to run more workloads securely and efficiently across different industries from healthcare to government.

One of the intriguing paths created was monetization of Web3. iExec combining AI and Web3 made this innovation possible. It created tools like Web3Mail which intertwined with another of its tools DataProtector to make monetization of emails possible. Projects like TalentLayer, leveraging on this iExec technology have pushed this process into greater phases like its present innovation exploring GPT-2 for jobs.

In the grand scheme of things, it was revealed, the blockchain needed iExec for trusted-compute, Intel, NVIDIA and Microsoft Azure for cloud computing. It’s become glaring that iExec is infact THE BRIDGE.
