IMS Ibiza Reveals NFT Pre-Sale for DJ Selva and Upcoming NERVO Release | $3000 EQ Exchange Contest
April 27th — April 29th, IMS Ibiza will host their annual EDM music and business conference where DJ Selva reveals the pre-sale of his upcoming music NFTs. Selva is one of the top DJs in the EDM world, producing, mixing, and writing Brazilian Bass, Dance, and House music. The twin sisters, collectively known as NERVO, have gone from being super-fans to having super-fans. Both artists have played big EDM stages, carnivals, and festivals worldwide. The Brazilian artist, Selva, and Australia’s own, NERVO, will now take center stage at IMS Ibiza by announcing the details of their first ever music NFT. Both artists intend to change the direction of the EDM genre for musicians and fans by launching their latest release through the Web3 world. EQ Exchange, the Web3 tech company minting the tokens, will also be giving out a total of $3000 cUSD during the IMS Ibiza event.
Each of the artist’s pre-sale will consists of a limited 250 tokens that will later give access to their music NFT release at the end of May 2022. The pre-sale will also include a random music NFT from an EQ artist to be airdropped into the owner’s wallet; plus all token holders will be automatically entered into a drawing for 3 prizes of $1000 cUSD.
IMS Ibiza is a 3-day conference that takes place on the island of Ibiza just East of mainland Spain. Music lovers, investors, managers, agents, artists, producers, DJs have all been gathering at the International Music Summit since 2007. IMS was founded by Pete Tong to inspire debate, discussion and to help implement progressive change in electronic music. IMS is praised for its music and dance parties much like Miami’s Winter Music Conference (WMC) with a “Back-to-Business ethos leading into the official Ibiza opening party weekend” — as described by Pete Tong. This year’s summit, entitled “In Pursuit of Purpose,” Pete Tong aims to highlight the best practices after the devastating impact of the global pandemic. This year’s conference will be full of surprises and tradition as the 2020 and 2021 conference were cancelled due to Coronavirus. Past speakers include Quincy Jones, David Lynch, P. Diddy, Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia, Chuck D, Steve Aoki, George Clinton, Russel Simmons, and Fatboy Slim to name a few.
Mim and Liv Nervo are electronic dance music’s first sisters — known as NERVO. The twins have been the all-time top-ranking female DJs in the world. They co-wrote and produced global hits for David Guetta and much, much more. NERVO is regularly featured in: Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, NYLON, InStyle, People and other fashion/pop culture publications worldwide. The NERVO sisters are no newcomers to understanding music, “Purple hair and purple lipstick; we did it all,” says Mim. “We almost broke ribs being in the front row of the mosh pit. We were those people in the crowd for so many years. To be playing on the same bill with some of those artists now is just electrifying.” In a genre dominated by ‘bros,’ the NERVO sisters are the epitome of female empowerment showing that women can do it, too.
For fans of Selva and NERVO, the artists will be releasing their music NFT through EQ Exchange, a WEB3, music NFT platform for music lovers, fans, emerging and legendary artists. EQ CEO and founder, Janice Taylor is a guest speaker at the summit speaking on Web3, NFTs, decentralization, the CELO blockchain, and announcing both artist’s latest musical ventures. EQ Exchange prides itself on capital for creators, empowering women and marginalized people of color referring to their NFTs as “MEGs,” the Mutual Exchange of Gifts. MEGs are a clear demonstration that the exchange between artists, their fans, and the global community can be equally beneficial.
