Install and Set Up a Crypto Wallet
A simple tutorial explaining how to install and set up four of the most popular crypto wallets: Rainbow, Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, and Rabby Wallet
To use the many new applications built for web3, you need to have a crypto wallet. This is also needed if you want to delegate your Livepeer tokens (LPT), or when you want to use any DeFi (Decentralized Finance) application.
Four of the most popular wallets are:
- Rainbow (easy to use for beginners)
- Coinbase Wallet (the popular wallet from Coinbase, also for beginners)
- MetaMask (for advanced users)
- Rabby Wallet (an open-source wallet)

MetaMask is a wallet used to interact with the Ethereum blockchain and is the world’s leading wallet with 30+ million monthly active users. It is available as a browser extension and mobile app. You can get MetaMask from here.

Rabby is an open-source wallet audited by professional security companies with a smooth multi-chain experience, this means that Rabby Wallet automatically switches to the corresponding chain based on your visited site, something that in MetaMask you need to do manually.
