LTO Network — LowSea Leasing Node update (1st of October 2022)
It’s been crazy weeks lately, hence this update lands a little late. Let’s skip all the macro economy devastation and jump right into what’s hot for LTO.
LTO Network has been working hard on several projects. Proofi, Ownables and GoLand. Proofi is nearing public version 1.0 and I hope to see some more concrete news about it soon. GoLand… well that remains a mystery as usual but I remain optimistic even though politic decision making is extremely slow in a world on fire.
Then there’s Ownables. We’ve seen the first steps of this new branch in the tree that is LTO grow over the last few weeks. First of all, an official Ownables discord channel has been created.
Content creators and NFT collectors are highly active on the Discord platform, so this seems to be the right place to plant the seeds for a new part of the community. Ownables will also be a more separated part from LTO Network, allowing a different marketing approach, while LTO mainnet can focus more on the core development and building.
As the LTO Network main community is mostly active on Telegram, Twitter and (somewhat) Reddit, it has been decided to pull the plug on the original LTO Network Discord server. It was barely used.
To launch the Ownables Discord community with some activity, a first LTO Network Ownables Community Hub AMA was held. Some great questions and answers popped up during it, so I recommend reading through it if you have a chance. If you want to read the full chat on Discord you can start here:
Else you can read through the AMA recap on the LTO Network Blog.
There are constant additional efforts to make the library of info in different formats more complete. Videos about how to buy and/or how to stake LTO have been released:
We also saw the first sneakpeek of the new LTO Wallet, now baptized Universal wallet. A closed Alpha launches soon to help test for the public Alpha. The screenshot we can take from the promo video shows a few interesting things (the following points are somewhat speculation):
- Staking/Leasing is possible from within the wallet
- There is the unbonding displayer, so you know how long you have to wait if you stop a lease
- There’s a QR code button
- At the bottom we can also see ‘Credentials’ and ‘Ownables’ which we know will come to the wallet in the future.
Design looks clean and sleek from what I can see and I look forward to testing it out myself during the public Alpha!
As mentioned above Goland remains a bit of a mystery on what is happening, but we did see a quick update hint on Twitter about it these last two weeks.
The one word that comes up here for me is… WHEN?! Haha, I guess I will just have to wait like everyone else.
That’s it! May the growth continue and see you again soon for the next payout!
