How far NFTs have come.

If you’re in the NFT space, or just want to learn more about it; you need to check out the NFT.NYC conference in New York this June.

NFTs are a new and exciting way to support artists, buy tickets, share music and show off disgusting wealth.

NFT.NYC is a beacon to the world that, despite copious bad press, “The pictures you can just screenshot, lol” are here to stay.

This June the community will be gathering in New York for the fourth edition of NFT.NYC to discuss all things non-fungible. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from artists, attend workshops, and find out where this multi-headed-hydra of an industry is headed.

This conference is close to our hearts because one of their goals is to “Give the community a voice.” This is what we want, too, with our repetitive cries of: “NFT’s Support Artists” over the deafening sound of “Invest in NFTS.” Instead, invest in people, invest in your community and invest in autonomy.

Even with all the good vibes we want to put out — the relevance of rugs, price gouging and low-quality-highly-shillable NFTs, will be featured at NFT.NYC to balance the hype scales because education is important. A history, forgotten, will repeat itself.

It’s important this is taking place in North America, where we need to get on the crypto train SOON. NFTs are part of a multi-billion dollar industry that is quickly growing, spreading and finding more ways to integrate into our daily lives. However, North America is falling behind because, while other countries have regulated cryptocurrency and made it easy to integrate with national currencies, we have strained against the lead. Our governments are pulling away from an industry that could provide more wealth and opportunities to artists, musicians and creators. They don’t completely completely block us off, but they do create barriers to use that are difficult and time consuming to navigate.

There’s a multi-billion dollar industry out there and yet in 2021 the majority of Americans could not describe an NFT, that’s a problem we hope NFT.NYC will help to solve.

If you’re interested in learning more about art on the blockchain or using digital assets, then please check out NFT.NYC in New York this June. They’re supporting artists, putting out media and sharing education about a technology in which we need to be involved.
