So before beginning writing this guide, I did a quick survey among my colleagues, to find out who knows about the topic, and found out the surprising results:

1. Most of the people who worked around Linux, administering Linux or with some Linux experience don't know where to start and how to do it.
2. They all find it very frustrating or intimidating to work on Linux Kernel Patching.
