Hey folks, not only has Coinbase been on a tear with their exciting news in regards to their brand new Smart Wallet, you may have missed the news that they’ve also come out with another generous round of different freebies, both on their exchange and through their coinbase app. Here’s a breakdown of the latest ones that have been showing up in mine:
Ronin ($47 worth of $RON)
From the blockchain that’s behind last cycle’s insanely popular Axies game, by completing 11 different tasks you can earn a total of $47 dollars worth of $RONIN. Out of the 11 total tasks that payout rewards, 5 answers super-easy question is ($5), and the other 6 ($32) involve going on your mobile device and downloading/using the Ronin Wallet and getting involved with Axie and another one of their games Pixels.
For the Own an Axie quest, there’s quite a lot of activity on the market for people buying Axies at the floor price, and after trying and failing several times to snag a cheap Axie that was below $4 dollars, I ended connecting my coinbase wallet extension via my desktop web browser because I found that quicker. If you do this, it will not track as a completion for the quest, and it will only do so if you buy it through the mobile app.
That being said, I found that the whole process in completing and getting rewarded for each quest was near instantaneous and it tells you in real time whether or not you completed it at the top of your screen.
Harvest Finance ($10 in $FARM)
This quest is particularly easy, yet takes 3 days to receive your rewards — you’ll need to deposit at least 5 dollars worth of $USDC into Harvest Finance which will then give you a timer for when your $10 dollars worth of $FARM will unlock:
Propy ($57 worth of $PRO)
PropyKeys is a “gamified home address registry platform,” where exclusively in the Coinbase Wallet app, you can complete a total of 3 tasks which include:
- Minting a home address NFT using PropyKeys — $12
- Minting your Deed Onchain — $45
Personally I tried to do this one but then I ended up bailing. Although I minted the first NFT, the quest never tracked despite doing it through the mobile app. Considering that there was a significant chance that it wasn’t going to go through a second time in addition to the fact that in the midst of all this I realized that I was minting a significant asset on-chain for about $50 bucks…made me end up thinking twice.
Conclusion
Free is always awesome, and it’s really cool to see these offers continue to roll out — they give me exposure to projects I may have never otherwise even heard about, while paying me at the same time to do so.
