Mark Zuckerberg, Apple, Microsoft, Google, and many other names. All are investing massive amounts of money in “The Metaverse.” It is estimated that “The Metaverse” will be an 800 billion industry by 2024. By comparison, the smartphone industry was worth about 380 billion in 2020. Yet the average passerby doesn’t know what exactly the metaverse means. It sounds futuristic, something out of a movie, but what exactly is it?
