Below the surface a surreptitious undercurrent of danger fizzes gently; etched into the faces of seasoned jewellers and burly security at every door in moments only visible when caught in the reflection of bullet-proof doors and windows. In the ephemeral lapses between the showmanship lavished on potential customers.

Mere moments away the gleam of the City of London casts shadows over surrounding municipalities as besuited finance professionals, corralled into glass towers, aggressively challenge for dominance in the pursuit of the capitalist ideal. Infinite growth, a miasma of technology and humanity unleashing Keynesian animal spirits. Market forces allocating resources in search of the ever shifting…
