Real-Time Crypto Prices on Google Sheets — Meme Coin Update

Google Finance is a fantastic free tool you can use to build an investment tracker using some simple formulae. Earlier in 2021 Google added a Crypto database that users could so now you could have real-time price updates for your crypto as well as your stocks.

Here is an example of the Google Finance formula:

=GOOGLEFINANCE(“CURRENCY:BTC:USD”)

The problem with this google finance update is that their database is very limited at the moment and only covers large-cap coins such as Bitcoin, Eth, Ada, etc.

As a workaround for all other cryptocurrencies, it is possible to pull prices from the CoinMarketCap website straight into your google docs sheet using an Import XML formula.
