Solana Hack — 8,000 Wallet Hacked, Approximately $8millions
Recently, a report came from the solana Twitter status about 8000 wallets being hacked with an appropriate $ 8 million which occurred early Tuesday morning, August 2nd, 2022.
Solana coin is one of the top coins with a strong community, and it is now the latest target of crypto hacks as users profess that money was stolen from wallets.
Solana status tweeted on Wednesday that about 7,767 wallets have been jeopardized by the hacker, both mobile and extension wallets were hacked.
They also made it known to users who were victims to create another seed phrase and not to use their already existing seed phrase for security purposes.
A survey was given out to victims to fill out so engineers can find the root cause of the hack.

Did Solana Get Hacked
An unknown user hacked Solana wallet, approximately 8,000 Solana wallets. The hack stole about $8million in solana, this was the fact that the victim's wallet where connected to the Internet and this allows the hacker to access their wallet and do away with their hard-earned funds.
It was said that the hacker was able to access their wallets through their private key, and a cryptocurrency industry leader “Emin Gün Sirer” said the transaction was signed, suggesting that the hackers used a tool “Supply Chain Attack”. This tool steals users' private keys.
