Staples Center becomes Crypto.com Arena — what’s next?

The attentive viewer of Formula 1 will already have noticed that the advertising hoardings of the race tracks are adorned with the logo of the crypto exchange Crypto.com and many well-known companies. More and more crypto companies seem to be coming to the fore at other sporting events as well. Apparently, Crypto.com’s sponsorship in racing proved to be a success, which is why they now want to try their hand at other sports — and in a big way. According to reports, the legendary Staples Center in Los Angeles will henceforth become the Crypto.com Arena.

Meanwhile, the Staples Center in Los Angeles has existed for over 20 years. During this time, it has been home to some major sporting events. It is best known as the home arena for the LA Lakers — one of the most famous sports teams around. However, Staples Center is also home to other professional teams besides the NBA team, such as the LA Sparks or LA Kings. As Shams Charania, a well-known NBA insider, reported on Twitter, the crypto exchange Crypto.com seems to have secured the naming rights to the Staples Center. The stadium can host NBA games and other events in the future under the name Crypto.com Arena.
