Heard of Nick Saban?
To be honest, I don’t follow American Football and I haven’t heard of Nick.
But when I heard the announcement of his retirement from the helm of Alabama’s football program, I had to read up.
His retirement is the end of an era.
And he is transitioning into a new role as a sage on ESPN’s “College GameDay.”
Good for him.
He made $130 million in salary over 16 seasons at the University of Alabama.
That is $11.7 million every year.
It consistently made him “the country’s highest-paid public employee”.
Not too shabby at all.
Of course, there are NFL coaches who earn more, but Nick is in a university playing football at the collegiate level!
I mean, these are college kids we are talking about.
And their coaches are earning millions while the college football industry is worth billions!
