What is STEPN?
STEPN is the first move to earn crypto game released. It is built on the Solana blockchain(as many games are) to avoid crazy ETH gas fees. This game promises that you’ll get paid for walking, running, or jogging in an attempt to encourage people to become more active and reduce the carbon footprint produced by vehicles, trains, planes, etc.
How does the game work?
I’m going to answer with another question: What do you need to have to be able to run?
You’re right: a pair of SNEAKERS!
So the first step will be to buy some sneakers from the marketplace. At the time of writing, a pair costs around 8 SOL(900$). Prices can fluctuate, but the cheapest ones right now are around that mark.
Sneakers differ, for example, there are sneakers for running, walking, or jogging. Also, they can be upgraded with their native currency(GST). You’ll also be paid in that token and then be able to convert it into anything else.
