Crypto and DeFi can be confusing. When I started, I was insanely overwhelmed by the amount of exchanges, pools and well things you could do with crypto. I tried reading and watching a lot of videos on youtube, but the best way to learn is undeniably by getting your hands dirty.

So before taking a deep dive into the rabbit hole, the first thing you need to commit to doing.

Step 1: Sign up with an exchange and make sure you KYC-ed, this means that your identity is verified. Here are some links that can help me out if you sign up using them.

Step 2: Buy some crypto. Funding wallets via wire it is much cheaper.

Step 3: Create a wallet on Metamask. While you’re at it, create other wallets (BNB Chain, Kepler, Fantom,Terra) to experience how onboarding varies. This will help you when you want to start dabbling in DeFi.

Step 4: Try transacting! There are lots of tutorials online, like this one. I just googled it.

Step 5: Create an OpenSea account and buy an NFT or you can just browse.

You can create many wallets, so just create one to test things out, keeping very little value in it. Transactions are public and traceable.

Step 6: Staking for passive income, this is my favourite. I’ve written stuff on it before, check it out here.
