The most popular use of NFTs right now is displaying them as your Twitter profile pictures. This is thanks to the entrance of mainstream celebrities like Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Mike Tyson, Post Malone and Jimmy Fallon, all of whom are following this Twitter profile picture trend. Rocking a Bored Ape Yacht Club profile picture on your Twitter is no longer the weird thing to do, but an impressive thing to do (provided you’re not lying about owning one 😂). But is that all NFTs are good for? Flexing on your friends (many of whom don’t even have a Twitter)? Showing them how much money, you have? Not at all.
