What is Sismo? Which issues zero-knowledge proof ZK badges

There has been a lot of talk about Sismo lately , a modular protocol issuing zero-knowledge proof (ZK) badges for reputation portability and aggregation.

That is, users do not need to show their real identity information on the chain, and can prove that they own certain assets in an anonymous form, and the protocol proof of which activities they have participated in.

The traceability of the blockchain is double-sided, which is convenient for tracking behaviors on the chain; at the same time, it also exposes the privacy of wallets, balance assets and interactions on the chain, which are all clearly interpreted.

Sismo is a zero-knowledge proof zk badge minting platform

Vitalik, the founder of Ethereum, expressed his optimism for the identity ecosystem project in his blog “What in the Ethereum application ecosystem excites me”.

If the behavior on the chain is marked, personal privacy can be seen at a glance, which is unacceptable to many people.

If you can prove that the wallet has performed certain interactions or how many assets it holds on the chain, and transfer the identity on the chain through the zero-knowledge proof badge, it is indeed the best of both worlds.

Sismo and HeyAnon are currently doing this.

Galaxy galxe is a web3 task system, users do tasks and receive corresponding tags; while Sismo proves that users have done it, or have certain identities/assets/rights, and can not be marked.

The identity badge is minted through the Sismo platform and transferred to other receiving wallets. The new wallet accepts these identity rights, but does not display additional information.

Some players believe that zero-knowledge proof ZK is an essential basic function of the next-generation blockchain and a proof of the reputation of privacy on the chain. After all, the blockchain is really too transparent.

On the Sismo platform, some badges are officially issued by Sismo, and some are issued by third parties.

Officially released GR15 Gitcoin, Sismo early users, Ethereum advanced users and other identity badges can be minted for free if they meet the conditions, and can be transferred to a new wallet address after minting.

Chuxiaolian participated in the G15 gitcoin donation activity before, and can currently mint this badge.

According to the data, 65,695 users donated G15 and met the requirements for collection, but the number of holders is 19,078, and 70% of the users who participated in the donation did not receive it.

There are also early Sismo user badges, which are currently held by 5383 users, and new players cannot be minted.

Badges issued by third parties, such as Aztec User ZK Badge, can be claimed by users who have completed ZKmoney interactive tasks.

Ordinary players can also initiate badge casting, and set certain identity rights to receive. For example, player Y Lin launched a badge campaign, as long as fans who follow his lens can mint it for free.

Of course, the most intuitive way to determine whether a project is good or not is to see whether the tokens have value and what the market value is; or will there be airdrops in the future, and what is the value of the airdrops?

Sismo has raised 10 million US dollars and has been praised by Vitalik, and has not issued coins yet. Many players who are doing interactive airdrops are paying close attention to and deeply interacting with Sismo, and are optimistic about future airdrop opportunities.

Receiving badges on the Sismo platform, or initiating badge casting are all interactive methods.

For most users, the current badges that can be collected on Sismo are limited, or a certain gas fee is required. For example, spend $40 to complete the Proof of Humanity to receive it.

As a proof of identity and rights on the blockchain, it can also guarantee user privacy, and it does solve some problems. There are usage scenarios, and it may really be possible to take off in the next bull market.

The above is just my personal opinion, no investment advice. I’m Chuxiaolian, and I’m paying attention to Metaverse and web3.
