Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, mysteriously vanished in December 2010. (almost two years after the first BTC transaction). As many people speculate about his identity, others have come forward to claim to be him, but no one has been able to verify that they are.

When the 2008 financial crisis swept the globe, many were upset that the individuals responsible for it escaped punishment — and that several of the major financial firms that triggered the crisis were even bailed out. So much faith in politicians and financial organizations was lost as a consequence.

When Nakamoto came up with the idea of creating a peer-to-peer currency, he intended it to be completely independent of banks and other financial organizations.

Bitcoin Core, a software client used by developers to conduct a variety of tasks to maintain the Bitcoin network, is the primary tool for Bitcoin’s development today. This virtual currency has no single owner.

It is possible to propose adjustments and improvements to Bitcoin by creating “Bitcoin Improvement Proposals” (BIPs). These may be found on the GitHub website.
