If you are not familiar with Product Hunt, it is community platform where makers can showcase new software and technology to other makers in the hopes of gaining valuable feedback, support and interest.
Product Hunt is built around innovators — those pushing the boundaries of current technology and experimenting with new ideas. In Geoffery Moore’s iconic book “Crossing the Chasm”, he explains how each person adopts technology in different ways. The famous chart below shows the different segments of technology adoption:
Product Hunt was made for the first segment — the Innovators. Innovators love to be at the forefront of technology and try new products.
At Coinplan, working with other innovators has given us amazing feedback on our cryptocurrency portfolio investing platform. We continue to interview our clients almost everyday, so that we can create a product our users truly love. But being an innovator carries an unofficial pact.
The Innovator’s Pact
The thing about being an innovator is that it’s a two-way street. There’s a call to give — not just take from the innovator community. While we love collecting all the feedback we can get from other creators, we’re also passionate about giving feedback to other projects.
