Coinplug will launch METAPIE: a Non-Fungible-Token (NFT) platform using DID

We are happy to inform that Coinplug will launch METAPIE, a new platform that will support NFT issuance and P2P transactions through a marketplace based on Metadium blockchain. The new platform will work with two other Coinplug services for DID identification and authentication: MYKEEPiN and THEPOL.
The name of METAPIE combines the prefix “META” and the dessert “pie”. The meaning behind this is that we want people to be able to share a “piece of their pie”, aka their content, with those interested in acquiring it. Thanks to DID, users can create NFTs while protecting their identity and avoid the problem of lack of management policies in other NFT platforms. DID will also avoid the problem of lack of management policies in other platforms.
METAPIE will facilitate the creation of NFTs and will be linked to members of MYKEEPiN Alliance, increasing the kind of content that will be available on the platform. With this, Coinplug looks forward to expanding our business areas into entertainment, gaming, luxury brands, e-sports, etc.
METAPIE is planned to open as a beta test in June, starting with digital content-oriented NFTs, and officially launch later in the year.

A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unit of data on a blockchain that represents a unique digital item, hence they are not interchangeable. NFTs can be used to represent digital files like art, audio, videos, in-game items and more.
