Mark Zuckerberg “Long-Term Optimistic” On Metaverse
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Technologies, expressed optimism about the future of the Metaverse on a “five to 10 year horizon” during the New York Times DealBook Summit last month. The ways in which we interact and share information become more textured as well as realistic. The Meta business has been called out for losing billions of dollars while developing its own variant of the Metaverse. Although macroeconomic problems have prompted Meta to reduce investment for the time being, Zuckerberg acknowledged that the firm will be required to operate with greater efficiency and discipline in the short future.

That they’ve changed their name to indicate their expansion outside the realm of social media is no accident. Based on the science fiction word “metaverse,” Facebook is now known as “Meta” to reflect the company’s aspirations for the future of online collaboration and entertainment. Although we are commonly known as a social media firm, our core mission has always been to use technology to bring folks together, as the CEO views the metaverse as the forthcoming frontier for human connection, the same as social media platforms was when the company initially began. The firm also announced that its stock symbol will change on December 1, 2021, from FB to MVRS, in conjunction with the new name. You may still find the Facebook app on the Google Play store or App Store on your Android and iOS versions respectively with its original name.
