Hey Coin Collectors!

As many of you may know, we recently crash-landed into Nanyang Academy of Fine Art’s (NAFA) Virtual Career Week in the hopes of sharing what it’s like to work in the crypto space, explaining how design integrates with crypto and finding 2 new passionate recruits to join our design team. Here is a recap on what our Brand Executive, Liu Yi Yun, touched on!

Giving a brief overview of what crypto and blockchain are, our Brand Executive touched on current popular cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Binance, and Dogecoin, before explaining how blockchain is a system in which a record of transactions made in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are maintained across several computers that are linked in a peer-to-peer network. But in order to educate our audience of 22 people on the crypto industry, we needed to define what cryptocurrency really is — a digital currency in which transactions are verified, and records are maintained by a decentralized system using cryptography rather than by a centralized authority. The aim of blockchain and crypto is to level the playing field around the world and give people access to financial services, introducing them to the global economy with the safety, security, transparency, and traceability of blockchain.

With all this tech talk going on, how does this relate to art? With GameFis, NFTs, DeFi, and the Metaverse, design, art, and graphics are more relevant than ever! In fact, NFTs aim to solve a central problem in art by providing us with the ability to claim ownership of an item that can be easily and endlessly duplicated.

With an industry as colourful as this, Coinstore.com, a global crypto exchange based in Singapore, aims to become the world’s first stop for popular crypto. Featured on major sites such as Hackernoon, Reuters, and CoinTelegraph, we currently have over 100,000 people in our community and are constantly bringing in new project parties on our platform. At Coinstore.com, creativity and new ideas are always welcome so feel free to go all out and experiment! One of our many exciting projects include our 4 Koma panel series, ‘Lost in Cryptoland’, and creative Youtube series focused on educating the public on crypto.

Ready to seize this exciting opportunity to be a part of the future? We currently have 2 job openings available at our ever-growing exchange that are related to digital content creation, graphics, and design animation! If this sounds like you, send in your resume and portfolio at karen@coinstore.com! We look forward to seeing you!
