Blockchain Presentation at Tokyo Expression High School MIICA
Introducing tomorrow’s creators and innovators to the basic concepts of technologies that will change the world in the coming years.
Founded in 2017 and located in Tokyo’s Edogawa Ward, Tokyo Expression High School MIICA (MIICA for short) is affiliated with the Japan Art School group. It is a high-level vocational school where students can learn the elements required to become a creator or artist.
Our COO, Yu Numazaki, and crypto blogger/investor, Poin gave a presentation about blockchain to the students at MIICA.
MIICA is an acronym for the five keywords that express the powers that the school seeks to cultivate in its students; “Multiple,” “Innovative,” “Initiative,” “Creative,” and “Attractive.
The MIICA faculty seek to instill in their students the abilities:
- To set appropriate goals on their own;
- To see themselves from a birds-eye view;
- To gain insights via trial and error, and;
- To actively acquire the necessary knowledge for success.
The curriculum of our school utilizes active learning, a form of education in which teaching strives to involve students in the learning process more directly than in other methods.
We were honored that they invited us to give a presentation.
A blockchain is a growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked using cryptography. Each block contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block, a timestamp, and transaction data. By design, a blockchain is resistant to modification of the data. It is expected to power much innovation in the coming decades.
