Helen and Bill, together Workshop 24, are social artists who intensely focus on the local in the Black Country. Their social art practice builds relationships with and between participants often over months or years, exploring issues around isolation, exclusion and marginalisation to help realise personal and social change. It’s easy to see why we asked if they would like to be Time Rebels in Dudley!

In the audio lab note below Helen and Bill talk to each other about their journey becoming Time Rebels, and the project they have developed called the more-than-human High Street. Do have a listen, it’s a wonderful conversation between creatives exploring constraints, the journey of an idea, and the emergence of a design, beautifully edited with Bill’s recordings of birdsong.

Helen and Bill are leading four more-than-human High Street workshops during August 2021. The first takes place during Do Fest Dudley on Sunday 1 August. Places can be booked on Eventbrite.
